Genencor International BV, located in Leiden, is the European headquarters of the DuPont Industrial Biosciences division. In addition to research and application laboratories, the Leiden site is also home to sales and marketing, customer relations and various staff functions. DuPont will move to a new location in the western part of the Leiden Bio Science Park. The new building, with a size of approximately 7,000 m2, was designed by Ector Hoogstad Architecten and is being built and developed by construction group Dura Vermeer.
DuPont has asked WorkWire to support her in developing a workplace strategy with an associated workplace concept. These principles have been included by WorkWire in the design process in which, together with the architect, an optimal integration of the wishes and requirements was considered. Special attention was paid to the translation of the diversity of work processes into an appropriate work typology mix, the integration of corporate identity into the interior design (workplace branding) and the involvement of the Sounding Board and Ambassador Group (create ownership). Parallel to this, WorkWire has set up the internal project organization for the Workplace Team (Facilities, ICT, HR, Corporate Communications) and managed it in the role of sub-project leader.
